Applicator:

Benefit High Beam: Nail varnish-like brush applicator

No7 Skin Illuminator: Attached brush applicator

Heavy Swatch: Left- No7 Right- High Beam    Blended Swatch: Left- No7 Right-High Beam

The No7 highlighter is more creamier than Highbeam, and is less pigmented therefore appears less shiny than benefit but you can’t really notice a different once you’ve applied it on your face. The applicator on the No7 highlighter is not very application friendly, so what I’m going to do is just cut of the brush so I can access the cream directly.

Since both of them are very shimmery, I wouldn’t recommend using them during the day, because people will most definitely be able to see the shimmer on your skin, it’s best for a night out.

Bottom Line: These highlighters are almost exactly the same, so I’d rather buy the N07 highlighter because it costs less and has more product than the High Beam.

Food Spotlight: The Crepe Cafe

The Crepe Cafe

I think it’s time to reveal  to the world my obsession with pancakes. If I could, I would eat pancakes for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND dessert. So it’s really no wonder that I’d have pretty high expectations when visiting The Crepe Cafe, located in Stars Avenue Mall on the ground floor.

Firstly, they have a lot of variety in their menu, which is obviously very good, but it takes some time to decide what you want to eat. Not only do they have crepes (as the name suggests), they have pancakes, soups, and salads. So if you aren’t in the mood for crepes or pancakes you have other options.

I ordered the Berry Pancake (don’t remember the exact name, sorry!) and a vanilla latte. The pancakes had a mix strawberries and blackberries on top, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Honestly, I was impressed with the presentation alone, all I had to do was take a bite to confirm that this would most likely be the best pancakes I’ve ever tried. As expected, they were the best pancakes I’ve ever tried! I’m not joking, it was so disappointing finishing that last bite. The pancakes were fluffy, the berries were delicious-not too tart, yet not too sweet, and the ice cream on the side was the cherry on top!

Of course, I wouldn’t be me if I hadn’t ordered a vanilla latte (my usual). I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t the best vanilla latte I’ve ever had. It wasn’t overly sweet or bitter, the vanilla and coffee were perfectly balanced. I’d prefer this to a Starbucks or Coffee Bean (which I also love oh so very much) any day.

The price range is pretty good, you won’t be breaking the bank, which is great especially considering the great quality and quantity of food. The waiters, however, could be more friendly, like the ones at Chili’s, but that didn’t really ruin my experience.

Bottom line: I’d recommend this cafe to anyone who loves good pancakes/crepes, or food in general. I’ve recommended this cafe to many of my friends and family, and they none of them were disappointed.

Let me know if you’ve been there already and your experience in the comments below, would love to read them!

What’s In My Makeup Bag: Rimmel, Clarins, and…Tide?

Makeup Bag

Okay, writing this post made me realize that I might be the only crazy one that carries extra products (that I don’t really use) in my makeup bag on a daily basis-no wonder my bag feels so full and heavy! I really need to downsize my makeup and carry only the things that I will for sure use everyday, because my bag is always so full of things. Then again, you never know when you’re in the mood wear a different lip color right?

2. Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

3. Maybelline Clossal Volum’ Express

4. Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Honey

5. Makeup Brush

6. Benefit Dandelion Lipgloss

Skin Care Wishlist

I love skin care, I am a total skin care junkie, so it’s really is no surprise that I want to be a cosmetic dermatologist. Half of my favorites on Google Chrome are skin care blogs like that of Caroline Hirons and many more, and I have made a whole list of skin care products I’ve been lusting for, but here are some of the products that I want. What’s on your skin care wishlist?

1. Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

2. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

3. Hyraluron

4. Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

What’s On My Face #1

WOMF

I’m the kind of nosy person that likes to see what makeup products other people are wearing on a daily basis, searching for potential candidates to add to my make-up collection and maybe inspire me to try products I would never have even thought twice about. Because I like to look very natural during the day, my usual makeup is centralized around natural pinks. Here are the products I used:

1. Benefit Dandelion Blush

2. Garnier Under Eye Concealer

3. Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner-Black

4. The Body Shop Eyeliner-Black

5. Benefit High Beam

6. Benefit Dandelion Lip Gloss

Color Combination Crush: Pretty In Pink

Pretty In Pink Lip Combination

I love wearing the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05 Candy Shimmer alone, but this week, I’ve been sporting this lip gloss over my holy grail lipstick-The Body Shop lipstick in the color 06 Clover Pink. It looks pretty dark in the tube, but its a pretty medium-pink with brown undertones. This lipstick is my perfect “my lips but better” color, and I have not found a lipstick with the same color anywhere. Weird, I know. Pairing my two all time favorite lip products gives the perfect glossy nude-ish pink lip color, perfect for an everyday natural make up look or even for a Valentine’s Day look.
