Guys, I’m in love. I’m in love with this MAC Half Red Lip Liner. You can tell if a lip liner is good by the first application, the way it glides on the lips so seamlessly, this lip liner did just that. The formula is really soft, but not too soft that it will slip and slide on the lips. It is pigmented, matte and stays on the lips for a long time. When I swatched it on my hands, this color did not really appeal to me, it looks like a brownish-red color, but oh my gosh, when you apply it on the lips, it transforms into this beautiful reddish, brownish, mauvy color which kind of like gives off the “my lips but better” effect, and I’m not complaining. I can already tell I’ll be using this a lot this month.
My first MAC blush was one that I stole from my mother’s makeup drawer, and ever since then, I fell in love with MAC blushes. When I got these, you could imagine my excitement, I couldn’t wait to test them out because these blushes never disappoint.
Dollymix is a sheer medium pink blush with a sheen to it. The texture of the blush itself is very soft and smooth, not powdery at all. With a light hand, you can get away with natural glowing pink cheeks or layer it on for a bright wash of pink.
Love Joy is a reddish brown blush with gold shimmer. When I first saw this, I would have never thought I’d like it, but it looks so good when you sweep this on your cheeks. This would be perfect to layer over a tan or for a bronze sun-kissed look. Lighter skin tones would need a lighter hand with this because this is very pigmented.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but does everyone get really excited when they find a dupe for a product? If you do, now is the time to get excited. I was playing around my makeup the other day and I decided I wanted to wear the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 101. So as I was applying it, it just occurred to me that it was so very similar to the MAC lipstick in Pink Plaid. As any excited beauty blogger would do, I decided put them to the test and swatch them side by side…
MAC’s lipstick in pink plaid is a bit more darker than the Rimmel 101 but you really cannot tell the different once applied on the lips. Apart from that both are blue-based, matte, pale pink lipsticks which are incredibly pigmented, however, 101 is more creamier than Pink Plaid. So if you wanted to try MAC’s Pink Plaid but don’t want to spend that kind of money, you can now go for the cheaper option and pick up the Rimmel one.
These are my first Dior products, and I’m really glad I ended up liking these cause it’d be so depressing if they sucked considering the price you have to pay for them. I got these two very spring-ready shades, a shimmery pink Nuit De Juin and a coral shade called Ailee. These pretty much have everything you want a gloss to have. If you are an avid coffee drinker like me (coffee all day, everyday right?) you’d be happy to know that the glossy lips remain after drinking a whole cup of coffee. The best part about them is that they do not feel sticky on the lips when you apply them-lipgloss haters this is a good thing! I’d love to hear your thoughts on them, comment below!
I love skin care, I am a total skin care junkie, so it’s really is no surprise that I want to be a cosmetic dermatologist. Half of my favorites on Google Chrome are skin care blogs like that of Caroline Hirons and many more, and I have made a whole list of skin care products I’ve been lusting for, but here are some of the products that I want. What’s on your skin care wishlist?
1. Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner
2. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo
4. Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil
I’m the kind of nosy person that likes to see what makeup products other people are wearing on a daily basis, searching for potential candidates to add to my make-up collection and maybe inspire me to try products I would never have even thought twice about. Because I like to look very natural during the day, my usual makeup is centralized around natural pinks. Here are the products I used:
2. Garnier Under Eye Concealer
4. The Body Shop Eyeliner-Black
I love wearing the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05 Candy Shimmer alone, but this week, I’ve been sporting this lip gloss over my holy grail lipstick-The Body Shop lipstick in the color 06 Clover Pink. It looks pretty dark in the tube, but its a pretty medium-pink with brown undertones. This lipstick is my perfect “my lips but better” color, and I have not found a lipstick with the same color anywhere. Weird, I know. Pairing my two all time favorite lip products gives the perfect glossy nude-ish pink lip color, perfect for an everyday natural make up look or even for a Valentine’s Day look.
I know its the end of January and most people post their resolutions like the first or second week of January, but I had finals and had no time to think about the rest of this year when my future was on the line! I finally got the chance to jot down some beauty resolutions that I want to achieve this year.
1. Drink More Water: I hope you don’t kill me if I tell you I drink about 4 or less (If I’m busy) glasses of water a day, which is pretty horrible.
2. Drink Less Coffee (And Without Sugar): I cannot live without coffee, so I’m not going to cut coffee completely out of my life (let’s face it, that is not going to ever happen).
3. Have A Pamper Session Every Week: Usually I’m either to tired or too busy give myself some proper attention. I’d like to spend more time on myself-put on face masks, properly exfoliate my skin, apply body lotion etc.
4. Make Time To Exercise
Let me know your beauty resolutions down below, I’d like to read them!
